the story behind the logo

ok. what the hell is that?why on earth did we choose this for our logo?do we want people to check on our work or to push them away? Come on, it's not that bad. Our logo is connected to our name, Cornea.Let us explain things. E. is suffering from an eye disease, Keratoconus, with conical cornea as its main characteristic. It is a degenarative eye disease where structural changes happen to cornea and basically you cant see a thing. It is not that common nor that rare.  E. has been suffering from Keratoconus for 15 years. She needs to wear hard contact lenses  and that cause terrible irritation and itching and many more that makes daily life nerve-breaking.

E. 5 years ago decided to precede to a corneal tranpslant only for one eye. It is was the only solution for vision improvement. At the same time, it was extremely painful, since E.had 10 stitches on her eye.
And it was an expensive procedure as well. However, things got a little better and now E. is thinking of having a second corneal transplant, i dont think any time soon, though.

So, the picture on our logo is actually a true picture of E.'s eye some period after the surgery. If you look closely maybe you will notice little white dots around the eyeball, which are actually the stitches. E. removed the last stitch after a period of 2 years, so they became really good friends.

I hope the freaky details didnt scared you off. Now you know the story behind the logo.
